DAVID ORTON

David Leroy Orton 1955 ~ 2009 Beloved father David Leroy Orton, born on June 14, 1955, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2009.Dave lived the life of a heavy equipment operator and an avid fisherman. His love for the outdoors and catching rainbow trout was matched by few. He will be remembered for his hard work ethic and generous heart. He is survived by his two loving children Jacob Leroy Orton and Breann Kay Orton. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, Sept. 6th, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State Midvale, UT.

Jordan Alumni 1st Annual Golf Tournament

Please contact me if you would like to golf. It should be fun and the money raised goes towards scholarships and Alumni stuff. If you don't have anyone to golf with call me and I'll help you to find your own team or put you on a team. See you there. By the way you don't have to be good, I'm golfing so enough said.

Marilu Dennies Bowler

Marilu Dennies Bowler married her high school sweetheart Dale Kevin Bowler the summer of her junior year (1972). They recently celebrated their 37th anniversary.

They have 7 kids and 3 grandkids:
Malani Ann (36) lives in Utah with her daughter, Isabeau Ivanova (10).
Virgina (Ginny) Annett (34) lives in Alaska with her hubby (who is now in Iraq) and daughter, Kaylynn Michelle (11).
Kevin Dale (30) lives in AZ with his wife and son, Daulton Charles (10).
Katie Danelle (20) still lives at home but is engaged and may be leaving the nest soon.
Sara Louise (17) will be a senior in high school.
Rebeca (Beca) Jean (15) will be a sophomore.
Casandra (Cassie) Marie (12) will be in 7th grade.

They have called many places home. While Dale was serving in the Army (1973-1976) they were stationed in Colorado and in Germany.

In 1977 Dale unfortunately lost his leg in an industrial accident. For the next couple of years Marilu lovingly nursed him back to health. It was during this time she realized that nursing was a passion so in 1986 she became and LPN.

They moved to Dugway Proving Grounds in 1992. Then in 1999 they moved to
Huachuca City, Arizona, where they currently reside. One month prior to moving to Arizona Marilu was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She is currently a 10 year cancer survivor.


Her hobbies include:
Knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitching, sewing, quilting, ceramics, charcoal sketching, poetry writing, soap making, camping, reading and let’s not forget remodeling. Marilu along with her husband and son (the electrician) took on the task of completely redoing their kitchen and master bath as well as putting tile throughout their home.

They provide a home to 2 dogs, 2 cats, 7 goldfish, 1 turtle, 2 parakeets, and about 25 finches.

Getting to Know You

Since this is our class blog and I'm somewhat in charge, that means I get to post what I deem worthy. With that being said I have decided it is important that we reacquaint ourselves with ourselves. (I'm sure those with a degree in English are grimacing but it works for me so the best I can offer you is, Oh Well.)

I would like to to profile each and everyone of you on this blog. So hopefully you will all be so kind to share. You can tell us what you have been up to, send pictures of your family or just give us an update on your life. Please keep in mind if you don't participate I will look under every rock, in every nook and cranny, to find something interesting about you. Nancy Call Stewart

Nancy C. Stewart 1955 ~ 2009 Nancy Stewart, 54, born March 22, 1955, beloved wife, mother, daughter, aunt and Friend, passed away at her home June 20, 2009.Nancy was a genuine spirit with a warm, giving soul and will be greatly missed. In her life, Nancy touched the hearts of many and left an imprint that will last for an eternity. She will be greeted by the open arms of her mother, Joan M. Aston Humbach. At the family's request a private service will be held to celebrate the life of a truly incredible woman.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day used to be a day off. A time to plan a vacation, go for a hike or a picnic. Now I find it is becoming more a time of refection. In the last year we lost two more of our classmates and I still think we are too young for this to happen to us. I would hope we could all last for a 100 years on this space we call earth. Realizing all of us becoming centurions probably isn't part of the plan (whatever the plan is). It is my humble opinion that we should tell those we love how much we love them daily and that we should never let a day go by that we don't show and share our love. We never know when the opportunity to do this will be gone.

May we all give more than we take and may we graciously take what others are willing to give.

Michael David Caldwell

Michael David Caldwell 1954 ~ 2009 Michael David Caldwell, 54, passed away April 5, 2009 in Sandy, Utah. He was born November 13, 1954 in Salt Lake City, to David Lloyd and Lynnel Welch Caldwell. Mike graduated from Jordan High School, and he worked for 30 years for Kennecott Copper as a craftsman. He is survived by his parents, David and Lynnel; sister, Debra (Richard) Stauffer; nephews, Taylor (Jessica) Stauffer, Trevor (Camie) Stauffer, Tye (Ashley) Stauffer; nine grandnieces and grandnephews; also Misty and Shaylynn and their family who meant a lot to his life. Preceded in death by a sister, Shelley. Funeral services will be held Thurs., April 9, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Pioneer Ward Chapel, 8650 S. 220 E. There will be a viewing Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
